The Drake Lock and Swivel uses a stem mount (male fixture) with a reinforced hole (female fixture) locking method to secure the catheter into the retainer. This stem mount with reinforced hole method simplifies the locking system to an up and down motion vs. pinch and pull.

In addition to the simplified locking system, there is a loop at the end of the strip which can be used with a leverage device.
