Michelle is a T6 paraplegic since 1996 due to a car accident. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business and uses a suprapubic catheter due to a neurogenic bladder. Being an active individual and stabilization device user, Michelle created the Drake Lock & Swivel because she wasn't satisfied with the current catheter stabilization devices on the market. The ones that swivel had strong adhesive and the ones without adhesive didn’t swivel. She took the best features of the current devices, enhanced those features, and combined them into one; a band without the strong adhesive and a swiveling retainer.
